The crowd wasn’t huge at Dubfire’s Adelaide Future Music Festival set but everyone in attendance had a great time. Yes, the crowd did unexpectedly halve at the same time as a French superstar hit the main stage. But we thought Dubfire still enjoyed banging out some driving techno on the The Likes Of You stage to a passionate group of tek heads, or did he?
Elefant Traks head honcho, Urthboy, is in career-best form with his AMP nominated album from last year Spitshine scoring many repeat listens at Onion HQ. We are glad to report that Oz hip hop’s favourite red head is returning to Adelaide playing an all-ages show at The Gov on Sat May 8 following his brilliant set at Jive last year.
Apparently Massive Attack are too cool for the Adelaide Entertainment Centre (and let's face it, they're too cool for a lot of places), so they're setting another trend by becoming the first international act to play Adelaide's newest venue.
Local clubbing institution Cargo is set to close its doors after 22 years. The Hindley St club that became legendary for its Four Rs club nights and street parties in the ‘90s and noughties will go out with a bang with Cargo’s Last Dance on Sat Feb 27.
